It’s no accident that you are here, perusing The Christian Minimalist. No matter how you landed here, God has caused our paths to cross at this moment. I really believe that.

Because of this divine appointment, I have a responsibility to provide content that helps you figure out what God is doing in your life right now. I want to help you think about who you are; what God is trying to teach you; and where He might be leading you. The answers to those questions are going to be different for everyone, so I can only hope to prompt a dialogue between you and God.

The term “minimalist” was originally used to describe art or music that had been stripped down to its most basic elements. Now the term has been expanded to refer to anything that has been reduced to its bare essentials. So I’ve started The Christian Minimalist to provide a back-to-the-basics approach to life and faith. However, that doesn’t mean it will be basic or easy. In fact, I intend to challenge you to grow in ways you may have never thought about. In many cases, I’m going to be challenging myself, so it’s a journey we can take together. Join me as we learn to live the great adventure that God has planned for each one of us—a life of faith and obedience. In so doing, we will find freedom and fulfillment.

I’ve been following Joshua Becker’s Becoming Minimalist, Lorilee Lippincott’s Loving Simple Living, and Charles Specht’s self-titled blog.

I’ve also added your site on my blog’s reading list. 🙂

  2. Dear Christy ,
